The art of global inequality

“What is the role of contemporary art in a world where 19,000 children die every day from preventable diseases?”

In 2012, as part of a performance called One thing you lack, Aaron Moore sold everything he owned and gave it to charities that work with the poor. Three years on, The Art of Global Inequality reflects on his experience and explores injustices of our time in an attempt to find hope in a world of extreme inequality.

Works include The chronicles of everything owned (and sold), Those who can't fly, Don't deny us development, Stuff self, The thinker's chair and Ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances

A thesis examining these works is available at "Visual art and global inequality"

All proceeds went towards the rural communities involved in this exhibition in partnership with Global Concern.
