Ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances
A series of photographs documenting ordinary people living in the extraordinary circumstances of extreme poverty in rural communities in Malawi, Zambia and Togo. Each subject's environment is extraordinary in that they are expected to live on less than a couple of dollars a day. Many dressed up for the occasion of having their portrait taken, sometimes borrowing clothes from friends. Each is depicted with their favourite possession and shared why it is important to them.
