Those who can’t fly

Every year, around 16 million Shearwater birds migrate over 15,000 kilometers - one of the longest migrations of any animal in the world - to reach Australia’s Bass Strait. And every year, tens of thousands of the birds die on Australia’s northern shores, unable to reach their destination because they can no longer fly.

The carnage of this event is heart wrenching.
