Floral Odyssey
Aaron and his family travelled across Australia in their self-built campervan from Sydney to Darwin and then Perth. ‘Floral Odyssey’ is a culmination of work created during, and inspired by, this journey.
Aaron’s distinctive paintings capture burgeoning floral bouquets on luminous sheets of Perspex. Painted using oils, the figurative works use a variety of loose mark making techniques to create representations of Australian native wildflowers, such as protea and banksia, that merge and flow into amalgamations of floral forms.
